**National Pollutant Discharge Elimination
System
The Stormwater Quality Improvement Plan (SQIP) describes activities to be conducted over
a five year period to help reduce urban stormwater pollution and protect Sacramento's creeks
and rivers. The SQIP impacts all of us living and working in the

- The Guidance Manual was prepared jointly by the County and Cities of
Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Galt, Rancho Cordova, and
Roseville. The manual provides information and guidance on control
measures for reducing pollutants in stormwater runoff discharged from
new and redevelopment project sites.
